ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepares the tables, laying out napkins and utensils, making sure the condiments are refilled, performing all other preparation tasks.
  • Staying updated on current menu choices.
  • Handles directing residents to their tables, presenting menu, and communication specific resident needs to the cook.
  • Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling resident’s needs, offering drinks, refilling glasses as requested.
  • Performing basic cleaning tasks as required or directed by supervisor.
  • Filling in for absent staff as needed.
  • Assisting with special events as needed.
  • Greet all residents warmly with an appropriate greeting.

Summary:

Under limited supervision, the Healthcare Aide provides daily living services to clients of Dignity Home Health Care based on each client’s individualized needs. 

Essential Functions: The list that follows is not intended to be comprehensive; it is intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities.

  • Provides emotional support by developing an age-appropriate relationship with the residents
  • Aide residents in developing and maintaining daily living skills, encouraging independence, hygiene (i.e. bathing, toileting and dental care), appearance (i.e. care of clothing, laundry and appropriate dress)
  • Passing medication morning, noon an evening, depending on resident needs

SUMMARY:  Under general supervision, the housekeeping attendant promotes sanitary conditions which prevent the spread of infection and odors.  May be required to perform tasks which involve, exposure to blood, contamination, infectious materials, or bodily fluids.  The housekeeping attendant must follow the required procedures for handling, cleaning, disposing, or moving of objects/materials and/or the clean-up of blood, infectious materials, or bodily fluids

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Must handle various cleaning solvents, chemicals, etc. Must comply with all regulations such as OSHA, EPA, State Health Department, etc.
  • Operate various mechanized cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, polishers, carpet cleaners, etc.
  • Maintain facility in a sanitary and infection-free condition through washing, cleaning, and replacement of equipment and furnishings.
  • Requires working in damp, dusty and dirty areas.  Must clean up human waste and other body fluids, as required.
  • Responsible for disposal of trash, waste, and other disposable materials.
  • Damp dust furniture, light fixtures, window sills, etc.
  • Empty trash containers in Residents Room
  • Wet mop floors in all residents bathrooms daily.  Damp mop front entry way daily.
  • Clean wash basins, mirrors, commodes, tubs, and showers daily
  • Vacuum residents room and corridors daily.
  • Check all vacant rooms as required.

  • Report any needed repairs immediately.
  • Clean windows in resident’s rooms.

  • Ensure meals are of a high quality, content and appetizingly presented, and that food safety guidelines are followed at all times.
  • Liaise with Nursing Staff to ensure that residents dietary needs are being met at all times.
  • In conjunction with the Kitchen Supervisor be responsible for ordering food.
  • Supervise Kitchen Servers and ensure that they understand their duties, and perform them to a high standard.
  • Ensure that the dining tables are laid correctly for meals and the dining room is clean at all times.
  • Assist with the training of other kitchen staff.
